Paul Blackman: The difference between here and there
Homo faber: the constructed world
Her view: landscapes from the collection
Join us for the opening of three new exhibition at Horsham Regional Art Gallery.
The difference between here and there presents new work by local artist, Paul Blackman. Inspired by the forms of rural industry across the Wimmera and Mallee, Blackman uses virtual reality to construct expansive digital environments that are later transformed into photographic works. The exhibition invites audiences to consider the relationship between virtual and physical space, and how perception, memory and imagination shape our experience of the world.
Homo faber: the constructed world explores the Horsham Regional Art Gallery collection through the eyes of artist, Paul Blackman.
After being set loose in the Gallery's collection store, Blackman has selected a number of works that resonate with his own practice and create a dialogue between his work and the Gallery's collection.
Does a landscape change depending on who is looking?
The exhibition Her view comprises paintings and photographs from the Horsham Regional Art Gallery collection that depict the Wimmera, Gariwerd and surrounding Country through the eyes of women artists.
Enjoy light refreshments as we celebrate the opening of these exhibitions.
