Our collection
Since 1967, the Gallery has developed a nationally significant collection of Australian photography, featuring works by photographers including Nicolas Caire, J. W. Lindt, Olive Cotton, Frank Hurley, David Moore and Carol Jerrems, alongside contemporary artists such as Bill Henson, Tracey Moffatt, Trent Parke and Fiona Foley.
The collection also celebrates the Wimmera, with works by artists connected to the region and artworks exploring its landscapes, people and stories.
Paintings and works on paper were significantly shaped by the generosity of Mack Jost AM, whose gifts and bequest brought works by many significant Australian artists into the collection.
