Our volunteers are an important part of the Horsham Town Hall experience. From welcoming audiences and helping people find their seats to supporting our team during performances, volunteers help make every visit feel friendly, safe and enjoyable.
If you love the arts, enjoy meeting people and want to be part of a vibrant cultural venue, we'd love to have you on the team.
Volunteer Usher
Our volunteer ushers help create a warm welcome for audiences and support the smooth running of performances.
Duties may include:
Opening theatre doors and welcoming patrons
Checking tickets and directing patrons to their seats
Supporting the safe arrival and departure of patrons
Assisting patrons with questions and general enquiries
Acting as the eyes and ears of the theatre during performances and communicating with venue staff
Supporting the venue's emergency procedures if required
Helping with general tidy-up following an event
Training and Support
No previous experience is required. Full training is provided, with regular refresher sessions held throughout the year to keep you confident and up to date.
Who can volunteer?
Volunteers must be 15 years or older.
Volunteers aged 15–17 must have consent from a parent or guardian.
Volunteers aged 18 and over must hold a valid Victorian Working with Children Check.
