Forget perfect. Just draw.
Ever wanted to try life drawing but thought you couldn’t draw?
Good. Come anyway.
Life drawing is about looking, experimenting and seeing what happens when you put pencil to paper. Work from a live model, try different techniques and learn to capture movement, shape and expression, without worrying about creating a masterpiece.
++ This month’s guest tutor is artist Mandy Collins, joining us during her residency at Natimuk Exile. A practising artist for 50 years, Mandy works across landscape and the figure, primarily using mixed media on paper. Her most recent exhibition was at Mildura Regional Gallery in 2025, and she has participated in numerous group exhibitions throughout her career. Mandy is also an experienced art educator.
In this workshop, Mandy will show us how to play with colour and explore how it can bring new energy and interest to life drawing. Suitable for all skill levels, the session is all about experimentation, creativity and having fun. No prior artistic experience is needed, just bring your curiosity and enjoy the process.++
