Ticketing Terms & Conditions

COVID-19 UPDATE 2023: With the lifting of all government restrictions regarding covid-19, there are no longer any specific conditions of attendance at the Town Hall relating to the pandemic.

This includes refunds: as we have returned to “business as usual”, the Town Hall’s normal refund policy applies (see below).

The Horsham Town Hall and horshamtownhall.com.au (collectively, the Site) is an online service owned and operated by Horsham Rural City Council through The Horsham Town Hall (ABN 3701 9724 765) (The Horsham Town Hall, we or us). The Horsham Town Hall is offering its services to you as event ticketing to theatre and concerts presented by us and our hirers. When The Horsham Town Hall sells a ticket of admission, The Horsham Town Hall warrants it is fully authorised to sell the ticket(s).

Terms may vary at the discretion of The Horsham Town Hall, and will be effective upon posting to the Web Site and available to view at the Horsham Town Hall Box Office, 71 Pynsent Street, Horsham. You must agree to them, and any current variations to them, each time you make a purchase from us.

Confirmation E-mail

For online bookings an automatic booking confirmation will be sent by e-mail and will include the show times, ticket specifics and other details of your order. This e-mail will be sent within 60 minutes of payment being received. You must notify The Horsham Town Hall immediately if there have been any mistakes with your booking, or if you do not receive the confirmation e-mail after an hour.

No Reselling

No tickets may be resold or offered for resale at a premium (including via online auction sites) or used for advertising, promoting or other commercial purposes (including competitions or trade promotions) or to enhance the demand for other goods or services, either by yourself or another person without the express consent of The Horsham Town Hall. If a ticket is involved in a breach of this condition, the ticket may be cancelled without a refund and the bearer of the ticket may be refused admission.

Price Changes

All prices are subject to change without prior notice until your booking is confirmed.

Goods and Services Tax

All prices quoted include the Goods and Services Tax (GST) where applicable.

Event Cancellation

If an event is cancelled or postponed before it begins we will provide a refund to you. The amount of your refund will depend on the change and cancellation policies of the supplier(s) of the ticket that you bought.

If an event is cancelled or postponed after it has commenced, you will not have the right to exchange or receive a refund on tickets.

Ticketing Code of Practice

The Horsham Town Hall strictly abides by the “Code of Practice for the Ticketing of Live Entertainment in Australia” defined by the industry regulatory association, Live Performance Australia. (The code includes Industry guidelines and Consumer guidelines.)

According to page 16 of the Consumer Code, there are a range of instances in which “Consumers may believe they are entitled to a refund when they are not actually entitled to a refund under the Consumer Laws. The Horsham Town Hall Pricing Policy

All stated prices are inclusive of GST. The Horsham Town Hall’s advertised ticket prices include the base supply cost of the products and all fees charged to and by The Horsham Town Hall to supply those tickets and packages. All prices are subject to change upon any changes in applicable taxes.

Lost Tickets

If your allocated seating tickets are lost or stolen you must produce proof of their original purchase before we will issue a Lost Ticket. Replacement of lost tickets is subject to the venue and/or promoter’s terms and conditions. At the discretion of the Horsham Town Hall charge an administration fee if a lost ticket voucher needs to be issued. The Horsham Town Hall reserves the right not to replace tickets where seating is not allocated (general admission).

Gift Certificates 

Gift certificates purchased from the Horsham Town Hall or Regional Art Gallery do not have an expiration period.  Venue staff manage all transactions through the venue’s ticketing system.  It is recommended that vouchers are redeemed within a three-year period as per the Victorian Consumer Affairs guidelines for Gift Certificates and Cards visit here.

Gift certificates cannot be redeemed for cash or other services.

Independence

The Horsham Town Hall is an independently owned and operated business. It is not our intention at any point to imply that The Horsham Town Hall is endorsed, sponsored, approved or otherwise affiliated with the presenters or sponsors of any event, except to the extent of being a booking intermediary/agent or as explicitly promoted, except where an event is promoted by the Horsham Town Hall.

Law & Construction

These Terms and Conditions of Sale, any contract made by a confirmed booking and all directly related matters shall be governed and interpreted exclusively under the law and courts of the State of Victoria, Australia
