SHADOW BEINGS – Juana Beltran Opening

You are invited to the opening event of SHADOW BEINGS – Juana Beltran.

Shadow Beings is based on a powerful experience in the Australian desert. A land of vast expanses and stark, arid beauty and in some ways, harsh and inhospitable. Juana Beltran felt a deep connection to this land.

This experience brought Beltran’s deep reflection upon the impermanence of being and all physical and psychological states, but also the fundamental relation we have with our environment and how such an intimate connection can be transformative.
Her work in Shadow Beings is a placement of shadows, a reflection of our other selves. A lonely shadow formed from the plains of the desert where extreme and paradoxical emotions are felt from within.
