Be part of the Art: CREATION collage workshops

As part of the season of CREATION at Horsham Regional Art Gallery, internationally renowned artist Deborah Kelly is offering talks, tours and hands-on masterclasses from Saturday 26 August to Sunday 3 September.

You are invited to learn technical and conceptual skills in a series of collage masterclasses at the Horsham Regional Art Gallery’s educational studios. Sessions will discuss ideas emerging from CREATION and produce new hybrid imagery to expand its evolving iconography.

Workshops are offered on (all events are at HRAG unless otherwise noted):

Saturday 26 August 3-4pm

Exhibition talk/tour and workshop intro

Sunday 27 August 11am-3pm

Tuesday 29 August 5:30-7:30pm

Wednesday 30 August 2-5pm

Thursday 31 August 11am-3pm

Saturday 2 September 1-5pm

Participants are asked to commit to at least two sessions (participants are encouraged to come to the introductory session, but it is not essential). All materials will be provided. Sessions are FREE, but bookings are essential. These workshops are suitable for ages 15+.

Deborah will lead workshop participants to create artworks in response to the CREATION exhibition and its key themes. CREATION is a queer insurrectionary science fiction climate change religion – for everyone.

Material from the workshops will form part of the ongoing CREATION exhibition at future exhibition locations.
