Paradise Structures

Paradise Structures is a collaboration between sisters Alana and Annabelle Kingston. Originally from Murtoa, their art practice spans art, text, fashion, twitter and enterprise in their ‘irl’ shop situated in Footscray.

‘irl” meaning ‘ in real life’ is a term coined in the online world to reference reality. Said to be doing the work of Marcel Duchamp for the Tumblr generation, the sisters design, making and performative approach to everyday objects and materials, seeks to challenge our understanding of their function and meaning.

We're doing the work of Marcel Duchamp for the Tumblr generation.
