COVID + LIVE THEATRE

In these uncertain times, the Horsham Town Hall team is committed more than ever to provide a safe and inclusive venue for live entertainment for all.

We want to ensure that our loyal community of theatre-goers can connect, share great experiences and celebrate the coming together to a place that we call ours.

Help us prevent the spread of COVID-19

  • Please wear your mask when in the venue + theatre (as directed by the Victorian Premier, Wednesday 3 February 11.59pm)
  • Practise physical distancing where possible
  • Please QR or manually sign-in on arrival to the venue
  • You will be asked for names and contact phone numbers of those that you are purchasing tickets for
  • As we cannot socially distance seating in the theatre it is asked that if you can wear a mask that you do, unless while drinking or eating
  • Head on in and find your seat… In order to avoid mingling, patrons are required to be seated. You can grab a drink or a nibble, but you will not be able to remain standing.
  • Avoid close contact with other people
  • Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for 20 seconds
  • Use hand sanitiser (including before and after eating)
  • Sneeze or cough into the elbow
  • Do not attend if you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID and/or have been in contact with a confirmed case (see COVID ticketing terms & conditions)
  • Remain in your allocated seat for the performance
  • Be kind to our staff and volunteers – they are there to help you enjoy your visit

What we are doing to help?

  • Capacity restrictions are currently in place. As a result, our venue is operating at a reduced capacity which is being safely managed by our staff
  • Seating will be allocated for efficient contact tracing procedures.  The auditorium doors will open early to allow audience members to head directly to their seat to avoid overcrowding the foyers
  • Interval will be 30 minutes to allow each seated area access to the restrooms and the bar
  • Our floor will be marked to manage queuing and movement throughout
  • Hand sanitiser will be available throughout the venue
  • Posters with health & safety guidelines will be displayed in the venue
  • Furthering our existing high standards of cleanliness and hygiene protocols, the HTH has introduced routine measures of frequent cleaning before during and after events.  This will include the frequent cleaning of high touch surfaces such as door handles, push plates, handrails, lift buttons, toilets and any other surface identified as being touched by people
  • All events will be ticketed (no general admission)

Our Theatre Bar

  • Queuing for bar service will use 1.5m physical distancing
  • An additional temporary bar will be available at Door 3 foyer within the auditorium at the interval to avoid overcrowding the foyer areas
  • In order to avoid mingling, patrons are required to be seated. You can grab a drink or a nibble, but you will not be able to remain standing. So you can head directly into your seat in the auditorium
  • We encourage cashless payments
  • Tables, chairs, stools and high touch surfaces will be sanitised after every use.
  • Glassware will be washed in a commercial dishwasher after each use.
  • Self-serve water stations will be unavailable to minimise touchpoints.  Please ask at the bar for free tap water

PLEASE NOTE:

It is the responsibility of every individual to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

The health and safety of our patrons and staff is extremely important to us. Please contact us before your event if any of the above applies to you.
